Taipei Energy-Efficient Renovation Apartment (EnerPHit Project)
This project is an experimental Passive House apartment designed specifically for Taiwan’s climatic conditions and complies with international Passive House living standards. Based on the core Passive House design principles—effective cooling strategies, high-performance insulated windows and doors, integrated fresh air ventilation systems, low thermal-bridge design, and high airtightness of the building envelope—the project incorporates 30 years of Taipei climate data into the building physics at the early design stage. Through simulations using designPH and PHPP, the project evaluates the building’s future operational energy consumption, ensuring that the completed residence delivers long-term health, comfort, and energy efficiency.
